This is a GREAT Beginner's class
but all levels of yoga knowledge
are welcome as with any class we offer.
Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice.
Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses.
Yin yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep facia networks of the body – rather than the muscles.
Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles.
Yin offers a chance to learn the pose names as the poses / asanas transitions smoothly and you hold each pose for several minutes
and the class is focused on
restorative healing poses, Yin is lovely.
Level: Beginners to Advanced
In a typical
"Slow Flow / Morning Movement / Morning Flow" class, you will practice about half the number of poses you might practice in a Flow class.
The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind.
We hold poses longer,
taking several rounds of
breath in each pose,
instead of moving to each breath.
You will leave feeling awakened from the slow intentional & intuitive slow movements and connection to your body.
Level: Beginners to Advanced
Vinyasa or Flow Classes,
these are a breath initiated practice, that connects every action of our life with the intention of moving towards what is sacred, or most
important to us.
Vinyasa classes offer
a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.
The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can
happen if you are always doing the
same thing every day.
As a philosophy, Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of things. We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then leave.
Vinyasa will get your blood pumping and make your body feel invigorated.
Level: Moderate/ Advanced
*Beginners always welcome*
Sunday Stretch and Flow
Our stretch and flow format
for class is a
follow-the-yogi style flow that combines the yoga asanas with dynamic movement to
create a refreshing addition to your yoga practice.
You will be led through a 60-minute session to awaken your senses and create energy throughout the body.
Level: Beginners to Advanced
Flow/ Yin Yoga
Flow/ Yin Yoga is a yummy combo of Vinyasa and Yin yoga with a guided meditation!
The Vinyasa portion warms the body up and rids your body of excess Prana, or energy.
After this, your body is ready to relax and lengthen during the Yin Yoga portion.
Level: Beginners to Advanced
Hatha Yoga
In Beata's Hatha Class she also brings an Ananda and Somatic Yoga influence with affirmations and grounding in between each posture.
•
Somatic yoga is designed to help you become more embodied—or led by how you feel in your body—by relying on slow movements and minimal alignment cues.
•
Ananda yoga emphasizes inner awareness; energy control; and the experience of each asana as a natural expression of a higher state of consciousness.
•
Hatha Yoga pairs poses (asanas) with Breathing Techniques (pranayama)
So as you can see to those of you who have taken Beata's class it really is a beautiful marriage of influence from all three styles.
We love that Yoga can be whatever you want it to be for YOU!!
Level: Beginners to Advanced
Kid's Yoga is a once a month class
KIDS YOGA class for kids ages 1-6 years old!
We will play, learn some yoga shapes & practice breathing/ meditation!
We mostly play games and tell stories and dance around.
Join us for a 60 minute kids yoga introduction to yoga, play and some serious coloring. We play with the balance beam, parachute, blocks and read some pretty cool yoga books.
We will introduce your child to some basic yoga poses and we will go through each pose twice or three times.
(that is about as long of attention span we can harness at this age ♥)
Level: Beginners to advanced
Balance
Balance Yoga Class is finding harmony with grounding at the beginning of practice & then learning standing poses without the vinyasa flow element.
Slow smooth transitions with focus on standing & restoring at the same time.
Breathe & Balance & calm the mind.
Strengthen & Restoring
balance in your
body, mind and soul.
Level: Beginners to Advanced

Release and Restore Class
This class combines
block release therapy and yin yoga.
We begin class with gentle,
static holds on a yoga block to help
release the fascia (connective tissue)
Then hold restorative yoga postures to own the space we’ve created in the body and melt deeper into relaxation.
Blessing the body with release and restoration.
**Block Release Therapy**
In this practice you will hold
several positions on a yoga block
for a minimum of 3 minutes each.
With gravity and body weight the block is able to sink deeply into the tissue all the way to the root of your issues. The pressure and diaphragmatic breathing brings increased blood and oxygen into the fascia “melting” layers of unhealthy restrictions.
The fascia is one continual sheath of connective tissue, running from the soles of our feet to the very top of our head. When you have restrictions and adhesions in the fascia think as though you’ve stuck your finger in a spiderweb, the cause point has referred pain, or “pulling” in opposing areas of the body. Releasing adhesions and restrictions in the fascia helps to increase mobility,
flexibility and overall strength.
Your body will thank you for taking the time for this subtle yet powerful form of self care.
Level: Beginners to Advanced
Buti Yoga
BUTI yoga is a unique practice, known for it’s cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance, primal movement, and conditioning.
Buti is designed to offer a calorie-scorching, body-sculpting, and dynamic yoga practice.
The word ‘buti’ is a Marathi Indian term for “the cure to something that’s been hidden away or kept secret.”
The movement involved in a BUTI class is designed to help everyone develop body confidence.
It will help you fall in love with your workout, break through emotional and physical barriers, and transform your body.
Level: Moderate/ Advanced
*Beginners always welcome*
Yoga found me in college and then again
when I took a pop-up Buti Yoga Class at a local yoga studio, with Amanda Jackson (our very own) she is an exceptional teacher and.......
I was hooked, that class lead me to join the studio
and take every class I could get myself too.
Eventually I decided to take the leap and dive into a wonderful in person Yoga Teacher Training Program - it was magical. I met wonderful people I still call friends and
learned so much about myself and about yoga.
In March of 2021, my husband and I became aware of a space available by our friends barbershop and that sparked our interest to cultivate and create the studio- Breathe & Balance Yoga Studio.
The connections and joy we have seen come from this little studio in Lincoln is unreal. My husband was a huge part of the build out and he helped make the studio what it is today with me :) He still needs to take a yoga class though....
The teachers that share their offerings with me at the studio are some of the best and they truly are a blessing. I am proud to share a variety of offerings with all of them and we are constantly finding fun new workshops/ events to hold, creating new classes and stay tuned for our future endeavors.
I look forward to serving the community with many
styles of yoga and workshops for years to come.
During the day I am lucky enough to be with the same company for the past 11 years as a manager of a large closing/ funding team at a very successful locally owned Mortgage company.
Fun fact, I went to culinary school in college,
and love to cook and bake!
I find myself when I am not at the studio hanging out with my family and dog Aspen (she is my favorite creature in the world) and finding beautiful places to explore and love trying new things.
What keeps me committed to my yoga practice?
The magic that takes place on my
mat keeps me coming back.
I call my power back to myself and
move because it feels so damn good.
I connect my mind and body
creating a place for my Soul to breathe.
In this space my Spirit thrives.
I let all that shit go and I can feel the magic of being Alive!
Join me on the mat for Buti- vinyasa remixed.
I also teach a Block Release Therapy Class (three times a week- Release & Restore on Tuesday evenings and Awaken & Strengthen on Friday Mornings and Saturday mornings is Root Rise Release) - all are centered around connection to your body and healing movements, that bless the body.
Cardio// Strength// Flow
~ Alicia
From Amanda -
Yoga first found me nearly 10 years ago when
I was invited to my first Buti Yoga class.
I thought for sure I had heard the name wrong, but after experiencing my first class there was no going back. I had never experienced such a liberating and life-giving movement style until I stepped on my mat and finally felt free.
The powerful combination of yoga asanas, tribal dance, and plyometrics began to transform me from the inside out.
Whether you are a seasoned Yogi or it’s your first time stepping on a yoga mat, I invite you to take a moment to reconnect with yourself and to feel human again.
BREATHE. Close your eyes.
Pound your chest. Hit the floor. Jump. Roll.
MOVE YOUR BODY. Step into your power.
Come back to your roots and play. I can’t wait to move with you!

I discovered yoga in 2007, while taking college courses. Practicing with friends and family here and there, embracing my own practice weekly.
It was my move to the area when I joined a group to empower women and do yoga with no judgment.

weekly at Breathe and Balance Yoga.
I have been practicing for over 20 years, and am a recent graduate of a 200 hour teacher training program this past summer/ fall.
I had been interested in deepening my practice through teacher training for some time, and the timing of finding this offering was absolutely perfect. I will forever feel the gift of this training and self-introspection is one of the most amazing opportunities I've experienced in my lifetime.
Yoga is for everyone. Please come as you are, and you will be met and cared for exactly where you are...

I am so thankful to all who take the time to
show up, and honor their body and mind

My goal is that you leave feeling so much release after moving your body, quieting your thoughts, and mindfully inhaling and exhaling.
I enjoy teaching movement, breath,
and weaving in some wisdom
with readings from my current favorite resources.
My interests outside of yoga include running, paddle-boarding, hiking, and attending high school sports events for my boys.
My husband and I have lived in Roseville since 2002 (Owner of StrollerFit- Exercise With Your Baby 2004-2009), and Rocklin since 2009.
We love this community, and being actively involved.
I offer a weekly vinyasa flow class Thursdays at 9am,
and you might find me subbing for yin or slow flow as well.
Can't wait to welcome you to the studio soon!
