Yoga found me in college and then again
when I took a pop-up Buti Yoga Class at a local yoga studio, with Amanda Jackson (our very own) she is an exceptional teacher and.......
I was hooked, that class lead me to join the studio
and take every class I could get myself too.
Eventually I decided to take the leap and dive into a wonderful in person Yoga Teacher Training Program - it was magical.
I met wonderful people I still call friends and learned
so much about myself and about yoga.
In March of 2021, my husband and I became aware of a space available by our friend's barbershop and that sparked our interest to cultivate and create the studio- Breathe & Balance Yoga Studio.
The connections and joy we have seen come from this little studio in Lincoln is unreal. My husband was a huge part of the build out and he helped make the studio what it is today with me :) He still needs to take a yoga class though....
The teachers that share their offerings with me at the studio are some of the best and they truly are a blessing. I am proud to share a variety of offerings with all of them, and we are constantly finding fun new workshops/ events to hold, creating new classes and stay tuned for our future endeavors.
I look forward to serving the community with many
styles of yoga and workshops for years to come.
Fun fact, I went to culinary school in college,
and love to cook and try new recipes!
I find myself when I am not at the studio hanging out with my family and dog Aspen (she is my favorite creature in the world) and finding beautiful places to explore and love trying new things. ♥
I discovered yoga in 2007, while taking college courses. Practicing with friends and family here and there, embracing my own practice weekly.
It was my move to the area when I joined a group to empower women and do yoga with no judgment.
My love for yoga grew and grew, warmer
and warmer brighter and brighter.
Yoga has been so life altering for me, that I feel I
can do nothing other than share this gift
that has been given to myself.

From Amanda -
Yoga first found me nearly 10 years ago when
I was invited to my first Buti Yoga class.
I thought for sure I had heard the name wrong, but after experiencing my first class there was no going back. I had never experienced such a liberating and life-giving movement style until I stepped on my mat and finally felt free.
The powerful combination of yoga asanas, tribal dance, and plyometrics began to transform me from the inside out.
Whether you are a seasoned Yogi or it’s your first time stepping on a yoga mat, I invite you to take a moment to reconnect with yourself and to feel human again.
BREATHE. Close your eyes.
Pound your chest. Hit the floor. Jump. Roll.
MOVE YOUR BODY. Step into your power.
Come back to your roots and play. I can’t wait to move with you! ♥

My name is Kelly, and I'm so grateful to offer yoga
weekly at Breathe and Balance Yoga.
I have been practicing for over 20 years, and am a recent graduate of a 200 hour teacher training program this past summer/ fall.
I had been interested in deepening my practice through teacher training for some time, and the timing of finding this offering was absolutely perfect. I will forever feel the gift of this training and self-introspection is one of the most amazing opportunities I've experienced in my lifetime.
Yoga is for everyone. Please come as you are,
and you will be met and cared for exactly where you are...
I endeavor to offer classes that are authentic and full of gratitude.
I am so thankful to all who take the time to
show up, and honor their body and mind
with some well-earned time for self-care.
My goal is that you leave feeling so much release after moving your body, quieting your thoughts, and mindfully inhaling and exhaling.
I enjoy teaching movement, breath,
and weaving in some wisdom
with readings from my current favorite resources.
My interests outside of yoga include running, paddle-boarding, hiking, and attending high school sports events for my boys.
My husband and I have lived in Roseville since 2002 (Owner of StrollerFit- Exercise With Your Baby 2004-2009), and Rocklin since 2009.
We love this community, and being actively involved.
I offer a weekly vinyasa flow class Thursdays at 9am,
and you might find me subbing for yin or slow flow as well.
Can't wait to welcome you to the studio soon! ♥
Favorite Quote: "Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees." - Iyengar

Hi, I am Elena -
Yoga has been a big part of my life for many years,
so I was excited when the opportunity arose to
pursue yoga teacher training.
In 2022, I completed a 200-hour Awaken yoga
teacher training through Spotted Dog Yoga School,
followed by a 250-hour Inspire training in 2023.
Over the past year, I have been teaching a power
yoga class at Spotted Dog Yoga & SUP
and have fallen in love with sharing the practice
that has made such a difference in my life!
In my spare time you will often find me reading,
hiking, or adventuring with my husband,
our two boys, and our
German Shepherd/Husky mix, Jojo.
I am excited to begin teaching a power
vinyasa class 9am on Saturdays at
Breathe and Balance Yoga!

Saige Chen Davis - Yoga Teacher Bio
My journey with yoga began at 21, when unexpected back pain from long hours at a desk job led me to an alignment-based yoga class. After years of being physically active, I was surprised by how quickly sedentary habits and a past knee injury created imbalance in my body. That first class revealed yoga to me as an intelligent, therapeutic system, not simply exercise.
What began as a search for healing has grown into many years of dedicated study and practice in an approach that values thoughtful alignment, clarity of intention, and internal awareness.
I am especially interested in observing patterns in the body and adapting postures to support each individual’s structure and goals.
In my classes, you can expect attentive alignment cues, cultivation of energy awareness, incorporation of mindfulness practice, and a supportive environment that emphasizes understanding the “why” behind each movement, not just achieving the outward shape.
One of my favorite quotes is from Geeta Iyengar, author of “Yoga: A Gem for Woman”:
“Yoga is the study of the functioning of the body, the mind and the intellect in the process of attaining freedom.”
I look forward to practicing with you, and supporting you on your yoga journey.
